Please read these Terms of Service ("Terms") carefully before using the gradientfolios.com website (the "Service") operated by the Gradient Folio team ("us," "we," or "our").
Your access to and use of the Service is conditioned on your acceptance of and compliance with these Terms. These Terms apply to all visitors, users, and customers ("you") who access or use the Service.
By purchasing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
1The Service
Gradient Folio is a short-term student project created for the USC BAEP 450 E-Challenge ("E-Challenge"). Our service is a "Done-For-You" portfolio website builder.
For a one-time fee of $25.00 USD, we will:
- Use the content from a LinkedIn URL you provide.
- Use third-party AI tools to generate enhanced biographical and project descriptions.
- Have our team of USC students manually review and edit the AI-generated content.
- Create and deliver one (1) single-page static portfolio website based on our templates.
- Provide a free professional URL (e.g., gradientfolios.com/yourname).
- Provide free hosting for the completed portfolio website for one (1) year, guaranteed, from the date of delivery.
2E-Challenge Terms & Delivery
This offer is a limited-time sprint as part of the E-Challenge.
Sales Window:
This $25 offer is limited to 80 total spots and sales will close on Tuesday, November 4th, 2025, at 11:59 PM PST.
Delivery:
This is a "batch" service. Our team will begin building all purchased portfolios after the sales window closes. You are guaranteed to receive your completed portfolio website link via email by Thursday, November 6th, 2025.
3Payments, Refunds, and Referrals
Payments:
All payments are processed securely through our third-party payment processor (e.g., Stripe). We do not store or have access to your full credit card details.
Refund Policy:
We offer a 100% "Recruiter-Ready" Guarantee. If, within 7 days of receiving your completed portfolio, you are not 100% proud to put the link on your resume, you may contact us at dpavlov@usc.edu" for a full refund.
Referral Program:
After purchasing, you will receive a personal referral link.
Refer 1:
If one (1) person signs up for the Service using your link, you will receive a $5.00 cash payment via Venmo.
Refer 5:
If five (5) people sign up for the Service using your link, you will receive a full $25.00 refund of your purchase, making your portfolio free.
You must provide us with your Venmo details to receive a cash payout. Payouts and refunds will be processed within 14 days of the E-Challenge's conclusion.
4User Content & Responsibilities
To use the Service, you must provide us with a URL to your public LinkedIn profile.
You represent and warrant that you own all content in your LinkedIn profile (including photos, project descriptions, and work history) or that you have the necessary rights and permissions to grant us a license to use it.
You grant Gradient Folio a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to use, modify, copy, and create derivative works from your content solely for the purpose of creating and hosting your personal portfolio website.
5Intellectual Property
Your Content:
You retain all intellectual property rights to your personal content (your bio, project text, photos, etc.).
Our Content:
We (the Gradient Folio team) retain all intellectual property rights to the website gradientfolios.com, our portfolio templates, design elements, and all underlying code.
6Use of Artificial Intelligence
You explicitly acknowledge that our Service uses third-party AI tools to generate content for your portfolio. While our "Human Review" process aims to fix errors and ensure quality, we are not liable for any inaccuracies, errors, or omissions generated by the AI.
7Disclaimer of Warranties
The Service is provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE," without any warranties, express or implied. We do not warrant that the Service will be error-free or uninterrupted.
8Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Gradient Folio team shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages. Our total liability to you for any and all claims arising from your use of the Service is limited to the amount you paid for the Service ($25.00).
9Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
